Alton, Virginia — The threat of rain did nothing to dampen the level and intensity of competition last weekend at Virginia International Raceway during the 2004 Formula USA/CCS national races.

Hundreds of riders from across the country and beyond participated in the three-day event, including several AMA level racers. The highlight of the weeknd was close racing action between Rob Jensen and Jeff Wood, who seem to be "trading places" on the podium all Sunday afternoon.
